Komo Group Subsidiary Ji’an Xinmao Organizes Team-Building Tour

From May 6 to 11, Ji’an Xinmao Pine Chemical Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Guangdong Komo Group Co., Ltd., organized an employee trip to China’s renowned Three Gorges region, under the theme “United in Purpose, Striving for Excellence.” This initiative formed part of the company’s broader efforts to enhance team cohesion, promote cultural engagement, and inspire a shared sense of purpose among its staff.

Immersive Learning at the Intersection of Nature, Engineering, and Culture

The journey began with a visit to the Three Gorges Dam, one of the world's largest hydroelectric projects. Employees were captivated by the breathtaking view of “a vast lake beyond towering gorges,” as well as the model zone that honored the engineers and builders who brought this colossal infrastructure to life. The experience offered a powerful glimpse into the strength of China’s engineering capabilities and left participants with a deep sense of national pride and technological admiration.

Deepening Cultural Understanding and Shared Values

The next stop was Shibaozhai (Stone Treasure Fortress), an extraordinary 12-story wooden pagoda built against a mountain slope, often described as a skyward-reaching tower. Beyond its architectural beauty, the fortress serves as a cultural showcase for the Yangtze River Basin’s religious and historical heritage. Climbing to the top rewarded the group with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and the mighty river below.

This was followed by a visit to the Fengdu Ghost City, a site rooted in Chinese folklore and moral philosophy. Iconic structures such as the Hall of King Yama and the Bridge of Helplessness illustrate traditional beliefs about the afterlife and moral conduct. Far from a simple tourist attraction, the site communicates timeless lessons about virtue, integrity, and living with intention.

Honoring the Past, Embracing the Future

In the days that followed, the team visited the Baigongguan (White Mansion) Revolutionary Site, where exhibits recount the sacrifices of early Chinese revolutionaries. A red flag crafted from straw paper, along with hand-made symbols of resistance, served as poignant reminders of China’s transformative journey.

The trip concluded in Chongqing, a city known for its vertical urban planning and vibrant culture. Highlights included witnessing a monorail travel through a residential building at Liziba Station, riding the Yangtze River Cableway, and enjoying the illuminated skyline of Hongya Cave, a dynamic fusion of tradition and innovation.

Fostering Unity, Driving Growth

This immersive cultural experience not only deepened employees’ appreciation for China’s natural beauty and cultural legacy but also strengthened their sense of camaraderie and shared mission. Through collective exploration and reflection, the trip cultivated team spirit and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to sustainable, high-quality development.
